The rains came in buckets and buckets Monday in eastern North Carolina and put a lot of golf courses in danger of being closed for quite some time. That didn’t happen to Vineyard Golf of White Lake.

The course opened Tuesday on it’s regular schedule. Only three holes had standing water on them.

Out of respect for the course all golfers were asked to put the 90 degree rule in effect. There was slight water on holes 3, 8 and 18.

Kudos to Course Superintendent Alan Smith and his crew and Course Manager Mark Harritan for getting the course open on Tuesday morning.
