Saturday was a first for players at Vineyard Golf At White Lake. Mark Harritan, manager of Vineyard Golf At White Lake made this statement, “We had 30 two-person teams compete and 3 flights and featured a new format for VGWL. We played Chapman (Pinehurst Alternate) and it was a big success. Everyone had a great time.”
The Chapman Golf Tournament can be played as stroke or match play and it’s an ideal format for players with varying talents. In this format, both golfers tee off on each hole, then hit their partner’s ball on the second shot. The team then decides which ball to play for the third shot and the golfers alternate shots until holing out.
