Vineyard Golf at White Lake, after being closed due to bad weather, opened Monday at noon with a large group of players waiting at the first tee.
The regular Monday Tossup was held with the team of Jimmy Davis, Joe Jackson and Ed Horne winning the front and the team of Charles DeVane, Stacy Owen, Norgie Hester and Glenn Robertson winning the back nine.
Robertson made one of the most interesting pars of the day. He hit his second shot on hole 10 into the lake fronting the green. The shot glanced off the frozen pond and bounced about eight feet from the hole. Unfortunately, Robertson missed the birdie putt.
With weather expected to be in the 50s and possibility to 70 this week the course should be full. If you are planning to play, please call the pro shop for a tee time.
