BLADENBORO – Clinton won the last 2 sets to snap a 1-1 tie and pull out a 3-1 Southeastern Athletic Conference volleyball victory over West Bladen Wednesday night by set scores of 25-16, 20-25, 25-23 and 25-15.

Senior Emily Young pounded in 12 kills, 2 blocks, 4 service points and dished out a team-high 5 assists for the Lady Knights. Senior Whitney McLean hammered in 8 kills, 6 service points and had 2 digs and 1 assist. Junior Jenna McLean distributed 4 assists, drilled in 5 service points that included 2 aces and had 1 dig.

Junior Trinity Meares lit up the scoreboard for West Bladen with 12 service points that included 1 ace and had a kill, a block and a dig. Senior Kylie Durden smacked in 2 aces, 3 other service points and had 1 dig. Sophomore Alina Chavez battered the Clinton defense with 4 kills and had 1 dig.

Sophomore Marlene Crabtree fired in 3 service points that included 1 ace and contributed 3 digs for West. Senior Makayla Wright smashed in 3 kills and 1 service point. Junior Maddie Walters belted in 2 kills, and senior Kaitlyn Brisson was credited with 2 blocks.

The Lady Knights, now 1-6 in SAC-7 play and 3-11 overall, will travel to East Bladen Tuesday night.
