ELIZABETHTOWN – Sophomore Acee Campbell pounded in 26 kills to lead East Bladen to a 3-1 non-conference volleyball victory over East Columbus Thursday night by set scores of 25-17, 24-26, 25-20 and 25-7.

Campbell also contributed 5 blocks, 4 service points and 3 digs. Senior teammate Cheylee Mathis knocked in 7 kills, a game-high 10 blocks, 3 service points and had 2 digs. Sophomore Cydney Campbell racked up 9 blocks, 3 kills and a service point.

Senior Sara Gargala hammered in 7 kills, 6 blocks, 2 aces and a service point for the winners. Sophomore AnnaGrey Heustess smacked in 4 kills, 2 service points and had 3 digs. Junior Merritt Martin slammed in 5 kills, a service point and had 3 digs.

Junior Alexus Mitchell drilled in 4 kills, 3 service points and had one dig for the Lady Eagles. Sophomore Maegan Burney blasted in 4 kills and 2 service points. Senior Kayleigh Raynor fired in 3 service points and 2 kills.

Senior Katie Evans tallied 4 service points and had a dig for East Bladen. Sophomore Karli Priest finished with 2 service points and 3 digs, and sophomore Emma Turbeville added a service point.

Coach Jordan Raynor’s Lady Eagles evened their record at 1-1 and will host rival West Bladen Monday at 4:30.

East Columbus won the jayvee match 2-0 by set scores of 25-11 and 26-24. The East Bladen jayvees are now 0-2.
