ELIZABETHTOWN – East Bladen outlasted Red Springs 3-1 Thursday night by set scores of 25-23, 25-14, 23-25 and 25-17 to claim the Lady Eagles first Three Rivers Conference volleyball victory of the season.

 

Junior Alexus Mitchell delivered 5 service points, an ace, 4 digs and knocked in all 11 of her service attempts for the winners. “Alexus really hustled the entire match,” said East Bladen Coach Jordan Raynor.

 

Senior Katie Evans fired in 20 of her 21 service attempts for the Lady Eagles and totaled 2 aces and 2 digs. Sophomore Acee Campbell pounded in 2 kills, an ace and 12 of her 13 service attempts. She also had 4 digs. 

 

Sophomore Emma Turbeville drilled in 2 aces and was a perfect 10-10 serving. She also had a dig. Senior Kayleigh Raynor slammed in a kill, an ace and was on target with 12 of her 14 service attempts.

 

Senior Cheylee Mathis drilled in an ace, 2 kills, a block and had one dig. Senior Sara Gargala knocked in a kill, and sophomore Karli Priest contributed 2 digs.

 

The Lady Eagles evened their overall record at 3-3 and are 1-2 in TRC play. East Bladen will travel to West Columbus Tuesday for a 4:30 match.
