ELIZABETHTOWN – East Bladen swept St. Pauls 3-0 Tuesday night in Three Rivers Conference volleyball action by set scores of 25-17, 25-17 and 25-23.

Sophmore Gracyn Martin staked the Lady Eagles to an early 5-1 lead with a trio of service points. Jozee Strickland delivered a pair of service points, and senior Hannah Devane reeled off four consecutive service points to stretch the lead to 16-9.

A pair of service points by junior Ashley Hardin pushed the margin to 24-16, and the Eagles won the set on a side-out.

After Martin captured a pair of service points in Set Two, Sarah Johnson knocked in 5 more service points to open up an 11-3 Lady Eagle lead. Hardin won a trio of service points to keep East ahead 15-9.

Strickland broke the set open with a 5-point service run that made it 21-10, before a pair of Devane service points helped close out the set.

St. Pauls grabbed the early lead in the third set, but a trio of service points by Martin and one each from Hardin and Smith pulled East Bladen to within 12-11. A trio of Hardin service points vaulted the Lady Eagles ahead 17-15.

A pair of Devane service points upped the count to 21-17, and Martin served out the match at 25-23.

Martin and Hardin led the East Bladen servers with 10 service points each. Devane finished with service points, and Strickland totaled 7 service points. Senior Kaley Smith and Sarah Johnson added 5 service points each for the winners.
