ST PAULS – East Bladen’s Lady Eagles notched their second Three Rivers Conference win of the season Tuesday night with a 3-1 victory over St. Pauls by set scores of 22-25, 25-19, 25-17 and 25-22.
Freshman Acee Campbell blasted in 14 kills, 6 service points, 2 aces and a block to lead the winners attack. Junior Kayleigh Raynor pounded in 10 kills, 8 service points, an ace and had a dig.
Senior Cybil Campbell hammered in 6 kills, 10 service points and 3 aces for the Lady Eagles. Teammate Sara Gargala slammed in 8 kills, 3 blocks and a service point. Senior Lila McDuffie racked up 6 service points and 6 kills.
Junior Cheylee Mathis knocked in 6 kills, 3 blocks, 2 service points and an ace for East. Junior Katie Evans drilled in 8 service points and a block. Senior Lorna Mendell blasted in 4 kills and 3 blocks.
Senior Ruth Ward belted in 7 service points, a kill and an ace for the Lady Eagles. Senior Abbie Cross finished with 3 kills, an ace, a block and a service point. Sophmore Alexus Mitchell contributed 3 service points and a kill.
Coach Sara Ward’s Lady Eagles improved to 2-3 in league play and 2-5 overall and will host East Columbus on Thursday.
