BLADENBORO – East Bladen swept West Bladen 3-0 Thursday night by set scores of 25-10, 25-19 and 25-17 in the Southeastern Athletic Conference opener for both teams.
Junior Emily Young fired in 2 aces and 6 service points and was credited with 4 assists and a dig for West Bladen. Junior Makayla Wright hammered in 7 kills and a block, and junior Whitney McLean slammed in 5 kills and 3 service points.

Sophomore Jenna McLean tallied 3 service points, a kill and dished out 3 assists for the Lady Knights. Sophomore Trinity Meares pounded in 2 kills, 3 blocks and 2 service points. Sophomore Karly Ross drilled in 2 aces and 3 service points. Senior Carolina Brisson knocked in 2 service points, and Maddie Walters had 2 digs.
Coach Jordan Mazur’s Lady Eagles evened their overall record at 3-3 and are scheduled to travel to South Columbus Tuesday. The Lady Knights, now 1-3 overall, will be at Fairmont Tuesday.
