CERRO GORDO – East Bladen swept West Columbus 3-0 Tuesday night in Three Rivers Conference volleyball action by set scores of 25-16, 25-17 and 25-7.
Senior Kayleigh Raynor fired in 8 service points that included 4 aces and connected on 9 of her 11 service attempts. “Kayleigh hustled and made some great passes,” said Lady Eagle Coach Jordan Raynor.
Senior Cheylee Mathis slammed in 7 aces, 3 kills and knocked in 13 of her 15 service attempts for the winners. Sophomore Acee Campbell hammered in 3 kills and an ace. Sophomore AnnaGrey Heustess drilled in 3 aces.
Senior Sara Gargala and sophomores Karli Priest, Maegan Burney and Emma Turbeville smacked in 2 aces each. Juniors Alexus Mitchell, Merritt Martin and Cydney Campbell tallied one ace each.
The Lady Eagles evened their league record at 2-2 and improved to 4-3 overall and will travel to Fairmont Thursday at 4:30.
