Bladen County Volleyball

East Columbus dropped the first game Tuesday, but rallied to take the next two games and edge East Bladen 2-1 in non-conference jayvee volleyball action at Lake Waccamaw. The game scores were 20-25, 25-20 and 25-19.

Junior Alexa Hernanaez led the Lady Eagles with 11 service points, 5 aces, 2 kills and an assist. Sophomore Shardajah Brown followed with 9 service points, 3 kills and an ace.

Sophomore Kaley Smith was credited with 7 assists, 5 service points, 2 aces and a kill for East. Freshman Ashley Hardin slammed in 5 kills, 2 aces and 3 service points and collected 6 assists.

Bethany Lesane contributed 2 kills, a service point and an assist for East. Jozee Strickland tallied 2 service points. Faith Johnson added 2 service points and a kill, and Dyasia MDowell had one kill.

The East Bladen jayvees are now 4-2 and open Four County Conference play at Midway Thursday at 4:30.
