FAIRMONT – Fairmont rallied to take the final two sets and defeated East Bladen 3-2 on Monday night in Three Rivers Conference volleyball action by set scores of 25-18, 13-25, 23-25, 25-23 and 15-5.
Junior Kayleigh Raynor hammered in 14 kills, 9 service points and had 4 digs to lead the Lady Eagles. Senior Lila McDuffie fired in 12 service points. Junior Cheylee Mathis slammed in 8 kills, 2 aces and 3 service points.
Freshman Acee Campbell pounded in 9 kills, 9 service points and had 3 digs for East Bladen. Junior Sara Gargala knocked in 5 kills, 3 service points and had 5 digs. Senior Ruth Ward fired in 5 service points and had 5 digs.
Senior Cybil Campbell drilled in 5 kills, a block, a service point and had 2 digs for the visitors. Senior Shanell McMillian blasted in 4 kills, 3 service points and an ace. Senior Lorna Mendell belted in 3 kills and 3 blocks, and senior Adrienne Howell tallied 2 service points and had 3 digs.
The Lady Eagles are now 6-8 in league play and 6-12 overall.
