BLADENBORO – Fairmont rallied after dropping the first set to defeat West Bladen 3-1 Wednesday night in Three Rivers Conference volleyball action by set scores of 19-25, 26-24, 25-16 and 25-15.

Senior Raegan Davis pounded in a team-high 18 kills, 2 aces, a solo block, a service point and had 5 digs and 5 assists. Junior Lexie Corrothers slammed in 5 kills, a block and 7 service points. Senior Caroline Davis sparked the Lady Knight defense with 20 digs.

Junior Jordan Benson filled up the stat sheet with 10 assists, 7 digs, 8 service points, 3 aces and 2 kills. Junior Tatiana Hunt was credited with 11 digs. Junior Mikayla Meadows racked up 4 kills, 4 digs, 2 aces, a service point and a solo block.

Sophmore Sidnee Walters knocked in 3 service points, a kill and had 3 digs. Sophmore Shelby Pharr spiked in 3 kills, 3 service points and had a dig. Sophmore Amelia Brisson added a service point, a kill and a dig. Senior Alana King had one dig.

“The girls played great the first two sets,” said Lady Knight Coach Gaye Davis. “We lost our motivation in the end. Fairmont came ready, and they finished strong. We just have to be ready to play tomorrow night.”

The Lady Knights, now 9-8 in league play and 10-9 overall, will travel to Red Springs for their final regular season game Thursday.
