BLADENBORO – Midway defeated West Bladen 3-0 Tuesday in Southeastern Athletic Conference volleyball action by set scores of 25-15, 25-7 and 25-12.
Senior Caroline Brisson fired in 5 service points, 2 aces and had 2 digs for the Lady Knights. Junior Makayla Wright knocked in 5 service points, 2 kills and had 1 dig. Junior Whitney McLean slammed in 3 kills, a block and had 2 digs.
Junior Emily Young racked up 2 kills, 2 service points and had 2 digs for West Bladen. Sophomore Trinity Meares banged in 2 kills and a block. Sophomore Maddie Walters contributed a kill, a service point and a dig, and sophomore Jenna McLean had an assist and a dig.
The Lady Knights, now 2-8 in league play and 3-12 overall, will visit Clinton Thursday at 4:30.
