Midway defeated West Bladen 3-0 Thursday night in Four County Conference volleyball action at Spiveys Corner by set scores of 25-21, 25-20 and 25-21.
Junior Morgan Schumacher fired in 10 service points, 5 kills, 2 aces and a block to lead the Lady Knight offense. Junior Logan Autry dished out 17 assists and knocked in 5 service points, 3 kills and 2 aces.
Senior Lorna Smith slammed in 6 kills, 4 service points, an ace and had one dig for West Bladen. Junior Kassidy Anderson hammered in 5 kills and 3 service points and had 3 digs.
Junior Laikyn Pait knocked in 3 kills, 3 aces and 3 service points for West. Junior Kathryn Schultz pounded in 2 kills, 3 service points and 2 blocks. Junior Jenna Dove tallied 3 service points, an ace and a dig.
“The girls played extremely well,” said West Bladen Coach Gaye Davis of her team’s performance against the second-place Lady Raiders.
The Lady Knights are now 7-12 and will host East Bladen Tuesday at 4:30 in their regular season finale.
