ST PAULS – West Bladen battled back from a set down twice, but St. Pauls took the deciding set 15-6 and claimed a 3-2 Southeastern Athletic Conference volleyball victory by set scores of 25-16, 19-25, 25-16, 23-25 and 15-6.

Junior Whitney McLean blasted in 10 kills, 2 aces, 5 service points and had 1 dig for the Lady Knights. Junior Emily Young poured in 10 service points, 5 kills, 4 aces and had 5 assists and a dig. Sophomore Jenna McLean racked up 6 service points, 3 assists and 1 ace.

Junior Makayla Wright fired in 8 service points, 2 aces, 2 kills and 1 block for West. Sophomore Trinity Meares checked all the stat columns with 3 service points, 3 kills, 3 blocks, 2 digs and 1 ace. Senior Caroline Brisson contributed 3 digs and 2 service points. Sophomore Maddie Walters hammered in 2 kills and a service point, and senior Kayla Norris pounded in a kill.

“The girls played hard,” said Lady Knight Coach Gaye Davis. West Bladen, now 2-7 in the SAC-7 and 3-11 overall, will host Midway Tuesday.
