BLADENBORO – West Bladen’s Lady Knights closed out their volleyball season with a 3-0 victory over East Bladen Thursday night by set scores of 25-15, 25-14 and 25-18 that vaulted the winners into a tie for 3rd place in the Three Rivers Conference.

Coach Gaye Davis’ Lady Knights finished their season with a 5-3 league record that tied them with South Columbus and Fairmont. West Bladen was 7-4 overall. East Bladen finished 3-5 in league play and 5-6 overall.

Lady Knight senior Amelia Brisson hammered in 12 service points that included 2 aces, 5 kills and had a dig. Senior Sidnee Walters pounded in 13 kills, 3 service points and had one dig. Sopho more Emily Young slammed in 12 service points that included 4 aces, 4 kills, a block and had one dig.

Senior Ashlyn Cox dished out 22 assists and fired in 7 service points, 5 kills and had 3 digs for West Bladen. Senior Shelby Pharr knocked in 11 service points that included 2 aces, 3 kills and had a dig. Senior Alyssa Suggs came up with 4 digs.

Sophomore Whitney McLean racked up 5 kills, 4 blocks, 2 aces and 2 other service points for the Lady Knights. Junior Caroline Brisson totaled 3 digs, and sophomore Catherine Dowless collected 2 digs.
