BLADENBORO – Senior Raegan Davis delivered a monster game Tuesday night to lead West Bladen to a 3-1 Three Rivers Conference volleyball victory over East Bladen by set scores of 25-27, 25-12, 25-21 and 25-15.

Davis poured in 20 kills, 12 solo blocks, 11 service points, 5 aces, a block assist and was credited with 12 assists and 8 digs. Junior teammate Lexie Corrothers hammered in 10 kills, a service point and had one dig.

Senior Caroline Davis keyed the Lady Knight defense with 24 digs. Sophmore Sidnee Walters knocked in 10 service points, 2 aces, 3 kills and had 2 digs. Junior Jordan Benson racked up 8 assists, 5 digs, an ace and a kill.

Junior Mikayla Meadows pounded in 7 kills, 3 aces, 2 service points, a solo block, a block assist and had 3 digs for West. Sophmore Shelby Pharr slammed in 5 kills, 7 service points, an ace and had 2 digs.

Senior Alana King fired in 4 aces, 3 service points and had 2 digs for the Lady Knights. Junior Tatiana Hunt collected 8 digs, 2 service points and an ace. Sophmore Amelia Brisson smacked in a pair of service points, and senior Indra Rodriquez totaled 3 digs.

“It was a great game,” said Lady Knight Coach Gaye Davis. “East Bladen played great. They played hard and are a much improved team from when we played the first time.”

Senior Callie Lewis smacked in a kill, 3 service points and an ace for West Bladen.

A trio of service points from Raegan Davis put the Lady Knights ahead 13-10 in the first set. Sophmore Kayleigh Raynor pulled East Bladen even at 17-17, and sophmore Katie Evans vaulted the Lady Eagles in front 22-19 with a trio of service points.

Four Raegan Davis service points rallied West back in front 24-22. Junior Cybil Campbell’s service point edged East in front, and junior Ruth Ward served out the set with a pair of service points for the Lady Eagles.

Walters reeled off ten consecutive service points to propel the Lady Knights to a 15-7 lead in Set 2, and Pharr knocked in 4 more service points as West Bladen took the second set and evened the match.

A trio of service points from junior Gracyn Martin, and two service points each from senior Sarah Johnson and Campbell edged East ahead 15-14 in the third set. Two service points each from King and Lewis keyed an 11-6 West run that claimed the set.

Evans started the fourth set with 3 straight service points for a 3-0 East lead. Brisson rallied the Lady Knights with a pair of service points, and Hunt dropped in a trio of service points as West Bladen built a 17-10 lead.

Johnson hammered in 7 kills, 3 blocks, 2 service points and had one dig to lead the Lady Eagles. Junior Lorna Mendell slammed in 5 kills and 6 blocks. Raynor knocked in 3 kills, 4 aces, 6 service points and a block.

Evans topped the Lady Eagle servers with 8 service points, one ace and had 2 digs. Ward smacked in 6 service points, an ace and was credited with 6 digs. Campbell drilled in 3 kills, 4 service points, an ace and had 2 digs.

Martin pounded in 4 kills, 4 service points and had 2 digs for East. Junior Lila McDuffie spiked in a kill.
