BLADENBORO – West Bladen swept East Columbus 3-0 Monday in Three Rivers Conference volleyball action by set scores of 25-20, 25-17 and 26-24.

The victory avenged a 3-1 loss to the Lady Gators back in August and raised the Lady Knights record to 8-7 in league play and 9-8 overall.

Senior Raegan Davis racked up a team-high 12 assists, 9 service points, 8 kills, 2 aces, 2 solo blocks and had one dig for the winners. Senior Caroline Davis sparked the defense with a team-high 20 digs.

Junior Lexie Corrothers pounded in a team-high 14 kills, 2 aces, a service point and had one assist for West. Junior Mikayla Meadows blasted in 11 kills, an ace and 4 service points. Junior Jordan Benson dished out 7 assists and had one dig.

Sophmore Sidnee Walters hammered in 9 kills, 7 service points and totaled 7 digs for the Lady Knights. Junior Tatiana Hunt was credited with 7 digs, 5 service points and an assist.

Sophmore Shelby Pharr smacked in 4 service points, 2 kills, an ace and had a dig for West. Senior Callie Lewis tallied 3 service points.

“The girls played extremely well,” said Lady Knight Coach Gaye Davis. “I am so proud of the way they fought for the win.”

West Bladen will host rival East Bladen Tuesday at 4:30.
