ST. PAULS – West Bladen defeated St. Pauls 3-1 Tuesday night in Three Rivers Conference volleyball action by set scores of 25-20, 22-25, 25-20 and 25-22.

Senior Raegan Davis lit up the scoreboard with 20 kills, 9 solo blocks, an ace, 3 service points and was credited with 6 assists and 2 digs for the winners. Sophmore Sidnee Walters racked up a team-high 13 service points, 3 kills and 2 digs.

Junior Lexie Corrothers fired in 7 service points, 4 kills, an ace and had 2 digs for the Lady Knights. Junior Jordan Benson knocked in 8 service points, 3 aces and dished out 5 assists to go with one dig.

Freshman Shelby Pharr hammered in 4 kills, 5 service points and had 2 digs. Senior Caroline Davis sparked the Lady Knight defense with 15 digs and tallied 5 service points, an ace and a kill.

Tatiana Hunt collected 10 digs for West Bladen. Junior Mikayla Meadows slammed in 4 kills and 2 service points, and senior Callie Lewis smacked in a kill, distributed 2 assists and had one dig.

“Both teams played hard and never gave up,” said Lady Knight Coach Gaye Davis. “There were some great volleys. This is probably the best game we have played all year. St.Pauls gave it all they had. We just came out on top.”

The Lady Knights improved to 7-6 in league play and 8-7 overall. West Bladen will host South Columbus Wednesday at 4:30.
