West Bladen outlasted Union 15-10 in the fifth and deciding set to claim a 3-2 Four County Conference volleyball victory at Union Thursday night by game scores of 18-25, 25-14, 25-13, 19-25 and 15-10.
It was the fifth straight win for Coach Gaye Davis’ Lady Knights who are now 5-2 overall.
Junior Morgan Schumacher racked up 13 service points, 8 kills, an ace, a block and 2 digs to lead the Lady Knights. Junior Kassidy Anderson posted 10 service points, 5 aces, 3 kills and 2 digs.
Junior Logan Autry was credited with 8 assists, 9 service points, 5 kills, 2 aces and a dig for the winners. Junior Kathryn Schultz delivered 6 kills, 7 service points, 5 aces, 2.5 blocks and a dig.
Senior Lorna Smith smacked in 8 service points, 4 aces, 3 kills and 1.5 blocks. Junior Laikyn Pait knocked in 7 service points and 4 kills and had one assist. Junior Kaylee Stevens totaled 4 digs, and junior Jenna Dove added one dig.
