BLADENBORO – West Bladen swept West Columbus 3-0 Thursday night in Three Rivers Conference volleyball action by set scores of 25-9, 25-18 and 25-17.
Senior Raegan Davis poured in 9 service points, 9 aces, 8 kills, a solo block and added 8 assists and 2 digs for the Lady Knights. Junior Mikayla Meadows knocked in 10 service points, 2 aces and 3 kills.
Sophmore Shelby Pharr delivered 5 service points, 2 kills and an ace for the winners. Junior Jordan Benson was credited with 7 assists, 4 service points and 2 aces. Junior Lexie Corrothers blasted in 4 kills.
Tatiana Hunt racked up 4 service points and 4 digs for West Bladen. Sophmore Sidnee Walters slammed in 3 kills and 2 service points. Senior Caroline Davis keyed the defense with 10 digs.
Senior Callie Lewis pounded in 2 kills and had an assist. Indra Rodriquez tallied a service point and a dig.
“Both teams played hard tonight,” said Lady Knight Coach Gaye Davis. “West Columbus plays hard and never gives up.”
West Bladen improved to 5-6 in league play and 6-7 overall. West Bladen will travel to rival East Bladen Monday.
