Volleyball: West Bladen 3, West Columbus 0

BLADENBORO – Unbeaten West Bladen improved to 5-0 on the season with a 3-0 Three Rivers Conference volleyball victory over West Columbus on Tuesday night by set scores of 25-8, 25-10 and 25-10.

Senior Mikayla Meadows blistered the court with 9 aces, 6 service points, 7 kills and tacked on a dig and an assist for the winners. Junior Ashlyn Cox fired in 7 aces, 8 service points, a kill and dished out 5 assists.

Junior Amelia Brisson slammed in 4 aces, 3 service points and 2 kills for the Lady Knights. Junior Shelby Pharr hammered in 2 aces, 4 service points and 2 kills.

Junior Sidnee Walters filled up the stat sheet with 3 aces, 3 kills, a service point, 4 assists, a block assist and 2 digs for West Bladen. Senior Lexi Corrothers pounded in 5 kills, 3 service points and an ace.

Senior Jordan Benson led the Lady Knight defense with 9 digs. Junior Taylor West belted in 3 aces. Senior Erica Storms added a kill and a block assist.

Coach Gaye Davis’ Lady Knights, now 3-0 in league play, will travel to St. Pauls on Thursday night.
