The needs in Bladen County are reaching far and wide. Kelly property owners are returning home and some need assistance.
Bladen County Judge, Douglas Sasser is currently organizing some assistance for the Kelly area. A work crew to help people salvage items from their homes in the Kelly area will meet on Saturday, September 29th according to Sasser.
If anyone wants to participate please send Sasser a message on Facebook and let him know so he will have a head count for supplies and lunches. He also wants everyone to please remember to wear long pants and close toe shoes for safety reasons. Assistance Saturday in Kelly will take place rain or shine. Volunteers are reminded to bring raincoats or poncho and towels.
Volunteers can either meet at the Hills Food Store parking lot at Lake Waccamaw at 8:00 a.m. or meet the group at Centerville Baptist Church located at 18577 NC-53, Kelly at 9:00 a.m.
