ORLANDO, FL – Coach Alvin Thompson’s Wake County Cowboys won their opening game Monday 19-6 over the Rockford, IL Renegades in the Pop Warner Football Super Bowl.
Coach Thompson’s Cowboys will play the Los Gatos Cambrian Panthers from Los Gatos, CA Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Pop Warner Division 3 Jr. Pee Wee Semi-finals.
Coach Thompson is a Bladen County native, and his son, Alvin Thompson, Jr., is the starting center for the Cowboys.
