The Elizabethtown-White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Wilmington Area Rebuilding Ministry (WARM) on Monday.

WARM’s mission is to repair, rebuild, and make homes accessible.

Chamber Director Terri Dennison welcomed the WARM supporters to the event. The Town of Elizabethtown Mayor Sylvia Campbell expressed the town’s excitement for the non-profit opening an office in Elizabethtown. In closing, Mayor Campbell stated the town officials are here to support WARM if they need anything.

Johnathan Langston, President of the Chamber, echoed the mayor, saying the chamber will help WARM to succeed.

Erin Wall with WARM announced the Festival of Wreaths, a fundraiser for the non-profit. She said, “There will be a private soiree at Cape Fear Vineyard and Winery where you can enjoy their wine and spirits while making a wreath on October 20 at 6:30.”

Then she added, “You can WARM up for the holidays at the Festival of Wreaths starting October 27th through October 30th at Cape Fear Vineyard & Winery. Tickets are still available.”

WARM representatives explained at the event that their organization assists people who are in situations where they may have to choose between food, medications, or doing much-needed repairs on their home to maintain a safe, healthy living environment.
