January 27, 2025, – A weak low-pressure system is bringing clouds and rain to start the week, but brighter skies and warmer temperatures are on the way, according to the latest weather briefing from the National Weather Service in Wilmington, NC.
After Monday’s rainy conditions with highs between 46-49°F, skies will gradually clear overnight as temperatures dip to the mid-30s to 40°F.
Tuesday marks the beginning of a warming trend, with sunny skies and daytime highs ranging from 56-59°F. Overnight, mostly clear skies will keep temperatures steady in the 35-40°F range.
By Wednesday, expect even warmer temperatures, reaching highs of 63-68°F under mostly sunny skies. Clear conditions continue into the night, with lows remaining consistent in the upper 30s.
Thursday will bring continued sunshine, though slightly cooler with highs between 56-61°F. However, increasing clouds overnight (38-44°F) will signal a shift as we approach the end of the week.
Friday will start with increasing clouds and warmer highs of 64-70°F. Rain chances return by the afternoon, leading to a rainy Friday night with lows from 52-56°F.
For now, both land and marine hazards are minimal, making for a relatively calm weather week aside from the incoming showers.
