The West Bladen FFA Chapter participated in the 2017 NC FFA Livestock Evaluation Career Development Event on November 28th, 2017. This event took place in Raleigh, NC and is sponsored by the NC Cattlemen’s Association. Team members were: Amelia Harris, Logan Lewis, Helen Lopez, MacKenzie Morris, and Sean Nunnery.
At this event, students evaluated livestock based on breeding and market characteristics, defended their decisions to a panel of judges, completed a written test, and a team activity. Harris, Morris, and Nunnery are also members of the Bladen County 4-H Youth Livestock Team.
