A weekend of sunshine and cool, dry air is in the forecast for this weekend, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington. Although we experienced a cool front last night, giving us lower temperatures today, we will see temperatures rise steadily throughout the remainder of the weekend.

Today, our morning low was in the mid-30s, and our highest temperature will be in the mid-50s range. Tomorrow will be slightly warmer, with lows in the mid-40s and highs in the low 60s. Finally, Sunday will bring the warmest temperatures: lowest in the mid-50s, and highest in the 70-degree-range.

A small craft advisory is in effect for all coastal waters —  from Surf City, NC to South Santee River, SC — out twenty nautical miles.

This information was prepared by Meteorologist Ian Boatman.

The National Weather Service in Wilmington says there is “A dry and pleasant weekend ahead!”
