According to the National Weather Service, the wet pattern we see today will continue into this weekend, as showers and isolated thunderstorms are predicted throughout the area later today and through tomorrow. A weak tropical disturbance with minimal impacts to the area will lift northeastward over the weekend off the Carolina coast.

Land hazards include minor coastal flooding along beaches and the lower Cape Fear River, with a moderate rip current risk to most beaches, excluding Brunswick. Small Craft Advisory conditions are possible late Saturday, and into Sunday.

Today’s temperatures will reach upper 70s and lower 80s, and this will continue through the weekend. Morning lows will be in the mid-60s, giving us some cool Autumn temperatures this October weekend.
