Spread the love

Elizabethtown - White Lake Chamber of CommerceThe Elizabethtown-White Lake Chamber of Commerce has a lot going on right now to help their members, our community, and business growth. Therefore, Wednesday, October 21st, “Support Your Local Chamber of Commerce Day”, is the perfect day to either join our local chamber, or get more active in what our chamber has to offer.

According to the website nationaldaycalendar.com “Support Your Local Chamber of Commerce Day” is observed every year on the third Wednesday in October.  The main objective of local chambers is to support local businesses, so this day is to show support and honor to the chamber for all it does for the betterment of our communities.

There are plenty of ways to honor and show your support for our local chamber. Dawn Maynard, Executive Director of our local chamber said,”It is important for the Chamber to be informed about change of addresses, managers, new businesses and industries in our area.”

If anyone has a change of address or change in administrative roles, make sure you inform Dawn. Also, if you know of a new business in our area, slip Dawn an email or give her a call. This will help our Chamber grow and insure everyone stays informed.

Currently the Elizabethtown White Lake Chamber is hosting a Holiday Window/Store Display Contest. We wrote an article about the details just a day or so ago. You may click on the link about contest information here.

The Chamber is collecting items to put in a basket to be given to a veteran at the Veteran’s Day Celebration. If you have any branding merchandise you would like to put in the basket, you may deliver it to Dawn, or drop it off at Whimsical Flowers and Gift Shop to be placed in the basked.

If you have not reserved your space in the Christmas Day Parade, there is still time. You can find out about all this information and how to join the Chamber if you are not currently a member by contacting Dawn by email at tourism28337@embarqmail.com or by calling (910)862-4368. You can always stop by the Chamber office located at 129-E West Broad Street in Elizabethtown and let Dawn know you want to help support our local chamber as well.
