ELIZABETHTOWN – Elizabethtown’s Laura Davisson pitched a 4-inning no-hitter and struck out 9 in Wednesday’s middle school softball scrimmage.
At the plate Davisson batted 2-3 and scored 3 runs. Teammate Alyssa Strickland slugged a 2-run homer and batted 2-2 with 3 runs scored. Lainey Hughes batted 2-3 and scored a run.
Alexus Mitchell collected the other hit for the Lady Cougars and scored twice. Lauren scored 3 runs for Elizabethtown, and teammates Abril, McKenzee, Zoe Smith and Azariah Rhodie scored one run each.
Tar Heel’s Gracie Register struck out six in her 4 innings in the circle.
