Upcoming EventsThis week on Thursday the Sunset Jams, featuring North Tower, will be kicking their show off at 6 p.m. at Goldston’s Beach.   North Tower plays a variety of music. They also play crowd favorites such as September, It’s To Late To Turn Back Now, and Daydreamer.

A new power source was added which will allow the concert stage to be placed closer to the lake. The admission to the see the concert is free while adult beverages will be available at $3 each. Coolers and pets are not allowed at the concert.

This event is sponsored Elizabethtown-White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce and Southeastern Health.

The Blueberry Bash will be held this Thursday as well and will start at 3 and will last till 5:30 p.m. at the Bladen County Cooperative Extension Office located at 450 Smith Circle, Elizabethtown. The entry fee is $1 and also for entering a dish into the blueberry treat competition. The winner will receive $25 as a prize if their dish is chosen. A raffle will be held along with learning about the blueberry’s history and nutrition value, storage facts, and a Do It Yourself Blueberry Scrub.
