According to National Weather Service Meteorologist Michael Colby, steamy conditions Saturday will bring the heat index values close to 100 degrees during the afternoon. Elevated heat and humidity on Saturday will lead to an ‘overheating’ potential if outdoors.
“If you’re going to be outdoors, bring hydrating drinks and consider wearing loose, comfortable attire, shade hats and sun screen protection,” said Colby.
An approaching cold front moving into this warm and humid air, will set off strong to severe thunderstorms Sunday afternoon and night. Storms on Sunday could become severe and capable of inflicting wind damage.
