The weather for Friday night into Saturday morning could see the potential for some severe weather.
According to the National Weather Service, a strong cold front will slowly move across the area through Saturday with showers and thunderstorms likely. Skies will clear late Saturday with mostly sunny skies for Sunday. Temperatures will continue on the warm and even muggy side through Saturday cooling somewhat into Sunday.
There is a slight risk for severe thunderstorms later today and through the overnight hours. Total rainfall amounts will fall between one and two inches with isolated higher amounts. Any severe weather would most likely occur this afternoon and into the overnight hours Friday.
