National Weather Service• An area of low pressure and the attendant frontal system will bring showers and possibly a few thunderstorms to the area Monday and Tuesday with lingering showers possible Wednesday morning.

• Light showers are possible late in the week as a cold front affects the area, otherwise mainly fair weather is expected into the weekend.

• Wind advisory through 5 AM Tuesday for wind gusts up to 45 MPH for the coastal counties.

• One to three inches of rain forecast with as much as four possible through Wednesday morning.

• High Rip Current Risk at area beaches today and a Gale Warning over the coastal waters into Tuesday. Minor beach erosion is also possible.

• Seasonable temperatures expected through the week.

• Primary concerns for week are heavy rain Monday and Tuesday with wind gusts to 45 mph along the coast. Additionally, winds, waves, and surf conditions will be hazardous for mariners and beach goers Monday and Tuesday. READ MORE: Weekly_Briefing_4_23_2018
