West Bladen has reshuffled their football schedule and will now attempt to open their season Thursday at home against Red Springs and since the statewide curfew has been lifted there will be fans in the stands.

The Knights moved the Red Springs game up a week and will shift last week’s postponed game at South Columbus to next week. Red Springs was scheduled to play West Columbus next week, but the Vikings are experiencing coronavirus problems.

Red Springs pounded Fairmont 41-0 Thursday in the only Three Rivers Conference game that was played.

East Bladen will open their season Friday night at South Columbus. The game was originally set for 6 p.m. but with the lifting of the curfew, and the chance to have fans that may change.

With the curfew lifted, football stadiums will be allowed to have 30% of their capacity per NCHSAA guidelines. For East Bladen and West Bladen that should allow 600 fans to be available.
