You’ve heard about ‘Bats in the Belfry.’ Well West Bladen had bats – the flying kind – in both of their gymnasiums earlier this week.
According to West Athletic Director Kim Cain, the bats have been removed by county maintenance employees, but the gyms still need to be cleared by the Bladen County Health Department.
For this reason, Thursday night’s East Bladen-West Bladen game that was supposed to be played at West has been moved to East Bladen.
Nothing has changed except the location. The jayvee girls start at 4 p.m., followed by the jayvee boys, then the varsity girls and varsity boys.
Senior Night festivities for West Bladen have been moved to next week’s first round conference tournament game.
