West Bladen seniors Alanna Ludlum and Amber Long have been named to the North Carolina High School Tennis Coaches Association’s 2017 Mideastern Class 2A All-Region Women’s Tennis Team.
As a doubles team Ludlum and Long finished fourth in the Class 2A Mid-East Regionals and qualified for the NCHSAA Class 2A State Women’s Tennis Tournament. They were the first West Bladen tennis players to compete in the state tournament.
Ludlum and Long had qualified for the Regionals by winning the Four County Conference Doubles Championship.
In team tennis matches, Ludlum and Long were undefeated with a 15-0 record as they led the Lady Knights to a 17-1 team tennis record. In singles play this season Ludlum posted a 17-1 record and Long finished with a 14-4 record.
