The public library is a great place for students, parents, children, and curious minds. Whether you just need somewhere to stop in and relax for a while, or you are in need of a resource, the library is the place to go. Bladen County has a public library in Elizabethtown, Clarkton, and Bladenboro.
Last week, Bladen County Public Library in Elizabethtown held Storytime in the Courtyard for children ages 0-6. This will take place each Thursday at 10 am. Parents are welcome to bring their children to enjoy a good book, make a craft or complete an activity, and browse around and pick out books to check out for themselves.
Speaking of checking out books… September is National Library Card Sign Up Month. Visit your public library to obtain your very own library card, which will give you access to technology, books, and more resources.
Bladen County Public Library has a book club at the Elizabethtown branch. Each month, the group chooses a different book to read and discuss. The book club is the third Monday of each month. The next meeting is Monday, September 20th.
Finally, all library branches in the county are accepting candy donations to give out to children during the Halloween season. Read more: bladen-county-public-libraries-accepting-candy-donations-for-fall-outreaches
