A White Lake man lost his life on Wednesday afternoon after a mobile home he was attempting to move fell on him.
Bladen County Coroner Kenneth Clark said Randy Barnes, 55, of Barnes Loop Road, was preparing to move the single-wide mobile home from White Lake to his blueberry farm. Barnes was in the process of blocking it when it shifted and fell on him. The incident occurred on White Lake Drive across from the former Driftwood Grill, said Clark.
Barnes was pronounced dead at the scene.
