A wind chill advisory is in effect for Bladen County from 5 a.m. until 9 a.m. today (Saturday). Wind chill values are expected to reach into the single digits.

According to the National Weather Service office in Wilmington, the lowest wind chill values are expected to occur within one to two hours after sunrise.

Frost bite and hypothermia can occur if adequate precautions are not taken. If you must be outdoors, wear a warm coat, hat, and gloves.
