The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Bladen County from 1 a.m. until 9 a.m. on Wednesday, December 27th.

Freezing rain is expected to begin overnight and continue into Wednesday morning. Trace amounts of ice are expected to accumulate on elevated surfaces such as bridges, overpasses, vegetation, and signs. Some portions of Bladen County could see as much as one-tenth of an inch of ice.

Motorists are urged to use extreme caution when traveling Wednesday morning. Even small amounts of accumulating ice could make roads dangerous, according to the National Weather Service.
