The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Bladen County with snow expected Tuesday night.

The advisory takes effect at 9 p.m. Tuesday and continues until 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Plan on slippery road conditions which could impact the Wednesday morning commute, the advisory reads. Total snow accumulations up to an inch are expected with locally higher amounts possible.

The latest road conditions for the state are available by calling 5-1-1.

The winter weather advisory also includes Robeson County and portions of northeast South Carolina.

The forecast from the National Weather Service calls for snow beginning after 5 p.m. Tuesday. Tuesday’s high is expected to be around 36 degrees with the overnight low around 21.

Wednesday, it’s expected to be mostly cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing with a high near 33 and a low around 16. There is a slight chance Thursday of freezing rain before noon.
