ELIZABETHTOWN – Sophmores Ashley Hardin and Sarah Johnson scored 2 goals each Friday night to lead East Bladen to a 5-0 non-conference girls soccer victory over Red Springs.

Johnson fired in the first Lady Eagle goal off of a Hardin assist in the seventh minute. Hardin knocked in the second East Bladen goal in the 18th minute. Senior Cassie Hill scored the third Lady Eagle goal 40 seconds before halftime. Another Hardin assist set up Hill’s goal.

Hardin found the back of the net with her second goal in the eleventh minute of the second half. With 14 minutes left to play in the game Johnson turned a Hill assist into the final Lady Eagle goal.

Hardin collected 2 assists to go with her 2 goals, and Hill had one goal and one assist.

The East Bladen outshot the Lady Red Devils by a 30-3 margin. Red Springs had no shots on goal in the game.

East Bladen improves to 2-0 on the season and will host West Columbus Monday at 5 p.m.
