East Bladen High SchoolThe good news for East Bladen’s Lady Eagles is they made the NCHSAA Class 2-A Women’s Soccer Play-offs, and they are not going to have to travel a long distance for their first round game. However, the opponent awaiting the Lady Eagles is No. 4 seeded Clinton, the Four County Conference champion.

Clinton defeated East Bladen twice during the regular season. Sophomore Katey Yang leads the Lady Dark Horse scoring with 33 goals and 20 assists. Right behind her is junior Alaina Capps with 32 goals and 17 assists. Sophomore Reagan Barefoot has tallied 21 goals and 20 assists.

Freshman Edye Jane Carr has posted 17 saves in goal for Clinton.

A pair of sophomores lead the Lady Eagle offense. Justyna Gargala has fired in a team-high 12 goals and recorded 5 assists. Alexa Hernandez follows with 1o goals and 3 assists. Freshman Hannah DeVane leads East Bladen in assists with 7 and has scored 5 goals.

Junior Claire Campbell (92 steals) anchors the Lady Eagle defense along with sophomore Lexie Mendell (team-high 130 steals), DeVane (105 steals) and junior Jiovana Vasquez (90 steals). Junior Kathryn Cole has racked up 84 saves in goal for East Bladen.
