TennisWest Bladen swept all three doubles matches and defeated Wallace-Rose Hill 6-3 Thursday in Four County Conference women’s tennis action at Wallace.

West Bladen took the top three single matches, and Wallace-Rose Hill won the No. 4, 5 and 6 singles matches to even the score at 3-3.

West Bladen’s #1 doubles team of Alanna Ludlum and Amber Long swept their match 8-0 to edge the Lady Knights in front 4-3.

“The other two doubles matches came down to the wire,” said West Bladen Coach Jeff Atkinson. “Our third doubles team of Haley Dimery and Conner Brisson made a great comeback as they were trailing 4 games to 1 and fought back to win the set 8 games to 6.”

“Helen Lopez and Madison Singletary took the lead 6-3 in the second doubles, but the Lady Bulldogs made a run closing to within 7-6 before Lopez and Singletary closed the door,” continued Coach Atkinson.

West Bladen improves to 2-0 in conference play and 6-4 overall. The Lady Knights will travel to East Columbus Monday at 4 p.m.
