DUBLIN – West Bladen’s Lady Knights clinched the Four County Conference Women’s Tennis Championship with an 8-1 victory over East Bladen Thursday on Senior Day. The Lady Knights remained unbeaten at 15-0 and 7-0 in league play.

“The girls played very well today,” said West Bladen Coach Jeff Atkinson. “East has a good team with some great athletes and I thought our girls made the adjustments, especially with the wind blowing pretty hard this evening. Very pleased with all of them and thier effort and performance on the courts today. This is very sweet for our Seniors for being able to bring home a Conference Championship. What a way to go out by being on top.”

Alanna Ludlum and Amber Long are the West Bladen seniors who were honored and both of them won their singles matches, then teamed up to win their doubles match.

West Bladen will travel to Wallace-Rose Hill Monday at 4 p.m. East Bladen is now 4-3 in Four County matches and will host Clinton Monday in a double-header at 4 p.m.
