We may have once called someone by their nickname. Maybe we do it more constantly than it seems. Perhaps we also have a pseudonym. And if you don’t have it, why not create it?

Pseudonyms are fictitious names. These are generally used to cover up a person’s real name. Pseudonyms are used by writers when creating a character. Also, pseudonyms can be used to name groups with a particular interest.

The term pseudonym or pseudonym comes from the Greek words pseudo and neimos. The prefix “pseudo” means false. On the other hand, the ending neimos refers to the name.

Most people use some word game to create their pseudonym. They can alter letters or change the order of the original name. Some people seek to associate their nickname with something that they are passionate about in life. While other people nickname themselves with the title they like the most. Searching for a pseudonym is about finding that name with which you want to be recognized. Contrary to birth, the alias is the name that we can choose.

On the other hand, there are pseudonyms that we do not choose. These nicknames are created from some of our characteristics or talents. Usually, it is friends or family who make this nickname.

Sometimes a person’s nickname is the short version of their original name. For example:
