Billy Workman Jr. won for a second consecutive week while two drivers improved a position from a week ago and earned their first checkered flags of the season Saturday at Dublin Motor Speedway.
Workman Jr. won again in the Open Wheel Modified division, but it wasn’t as dominating as the season opener when he started from the pole and led the entire race. Saturday, Taylor Cook was the pole-sitter with Chris Parker on the outside of the front row. After six laps, Cook was leading with Parker in second and Workman Jr. in third. However, with two laps remaining, Cook’s motor blew. Workman Jr. finished ahead of Parker and Shawn Beasley at the checkered flag.
In Late Model, Shawn Sewell was the fastest in qualifying and won the race a week after finishing second in the season opener.
In Super Streets, Jerry Johnson was the winner of Saturday’s race after finishing second a week earlier. Kyle Freeman, who started from the pole, finished second.
Other winners Saturday were Dustin Watkins in Pure Stock and Jody Patterson in U-Cars.
